Race report Phillip Island April 6/7 2013:

Recently the Rowse Motors team competed at Phillip Island raceway for the first round of the Victorian State Race and Club Championships.

Tim qualified pole with Travis Lindorff and Andrew O’Connell making it a clean sweep of the podium filling the top 3 positions. The races went the same way with Tim winning all three races, followed closely by Travis and Andy.

Race 2 was one of the must see races of the weekend, Travis lead the opening few laps with Tim and Andy hot on his trail. Tim later went on to win after making his way past Travis after a hard fought battle.

Although race 3 was marred by a safety car leaving only a 2 lap sprint to the end, it was filled with lots of drama and action. Tim missed 5th gear on the restart handing the lead to Travis, this was short lived though, as Tim quickly regained the lead after the pair was side by side from turn 2 through to turn 6. The drama didn’t end there, on the final lap several cars left the track at Lukey Heights making for an interesting last few corners leading to the chequered flag.

The Rowse Motors Team had a fantastic opening round 1 and is looking forward to repeating the results at Sandown Raceway on the 18th-19th of May for round 2 of the championship.
