Rowse Motors Cleans Up

Rowse Motors Beyond Blues Gippsland Commodore had a great weekend with Tim qualifying pole and taking a clean sweep winning all three races. The weekend started with a Rowse Motors lock out on the front row with Tim and Travis separated by just 0.08 of a second.

Race 1, Tim got the Jump on Travis, and led all the way with both Rowse Motors Commodores opening up a 3 sec plus margin in as many laps. The race was shortened due to an accident.

Race 2, Tim messed up the started and Travis led into turn one, his lead was short lived as he ran wide allowing Damien Mitchell to take the lead. This set the stage for an exciting dual over the coming laps. Travis and Tim soon got onto the tail of Damien and by lap 7 things got a little more exciting with the trio going three wide into turn one.  Tim came out in the lead followed by Travis then Damien. Tim opened up a 1 second advantage to take the win.

Race 3 started with Tim and Travis going side by side into turn one, this allowed Damien Mitchell to get up along side Tim going into turn 2.  There was some  wheel to wheel contact which broke Damien’s steering after which he made contact with the rear of Travis’s car, causing him to spin and drop to the back of the field. Tim was forced off the track due to the contact and after a slight excursion rejoined in 2nd place behind Aarron Paterson’s VT Commodore. Tim quickly caught up and retook the lead from Aarron etching out a 4 plus second lead. Meanwhile Travis was carving his way through the field to finish a close third behind Aarron, while Tim took the victory.
