Phillip Island Report

 

With the Victorian State race series at Phillip Island this weekend (October 13-14), the team at Rowse Motors have been working around the clock and are very excited to have turned out some terrific developments for two of this weekend’s competitors – Andy O’Connell and Travis Lindorff.

Travis Lindorff commissioned Rowse Motors earlier this year to assist him make his come back into the world of racing having built and developed a new car for Travis. They have also fitted some new updates in both the engine and chassis departments. Impressively, in true Travis style, he finished 2nd in the nationals last month, also taking out the state round win in only his 5th round of competition since his absence.

Andy O’Connell with his fierce competitive nature has been using the expertise of  Rowse Motors team for the past few years  He recently took 12 months off and will  be returning to the race world this weekend.  Not only have the team at Rowse Motors  been preparing cars for the likes of Travis and Andy, they have also spent the last few months fabricating a new rear differential for Mort Fitzgerald’s(flying doctor) MG V8, which will be racing in a strong field of MG’s and sports cars this weekend at Philip Island.

Last but not least, Rowse Motors have put the finishing touches on their own VT Commodore Saloon car which has been lying dormant since Tim piloted it to its last race win at the final round of the Shannon’s Nationals at Phillip Island in November  last year.

All these factors will surely bring a weekend of fun and excitement to all those racing.
