Rowse Motors team dominate Phillip Island with a pole and 3 wins.
The weekend started well for the Rowse Motors team with Travis qualifying pole with Tim in third suffering some handling issues.
Race 1 started off with the Travis leading and Tim 3rd in the opening laps, before Tim had an excursion off the track, dropping him to 13th place, before making his way back up to 5th with a strong drive back through the field. Meanwhile at the front Travis put his head down and etched out a 4 plus second lead over the current National Champion Gavin Ross to take the win.
Race 2 conditions on Sunday were a total contrast to the day before with strong winds and rain showers making it hard for the teams to gauge on what setup to use. Tim went for a dry setup, Travis a wet, this way the team was covered no matter what the conditions.
Race 2 began with Travis leading in unusual conditions (track dry but raining starting to fall), while Tim quickly made his way up to be trailing Travis by the end of Lap 2 and in the Lead by lap 3.
Damian Mitchell had also made his way up to challenge for the lead, but as the conditions worsened, he found himself slipping back 10 seconds behind the leading Rowse Motors duo. With 2 laps to go, Tim had over a 3 second lead on Travis and an easy win in sight, but with half a lap to go, Travis had closed the gap and was looking for a way past. This made for a thrilling finish with Tim edging Travis out by 2 tenths of a second at the line.
Race 3 started with Tim and Travis side by side with Travis gaining the upper hand at turn 2. From there they started to inch away from field. On lap 2, two cars became stuck in sand traps at different locations around the track. This brought out a safety car. On the restart the Rowse Motors duo got a fantastic jump on the field to set up their own battle for the lead. Unfortunately less than two laps later Travis would have to retire from the race with a gear selector issue, this left Tim to take the win some 3 plus seconds ahead of the field.
